I spent two years in West Africa(Ghana and Sierra Leone), and had the opportunity to spend time with Robert C. Gay who was the Managing Director of Bain Capital, the largest private equity firm in the World (a couple years ago they bought the Edcon group here in South Africa). He knew I was doing my LLB, however he suggested I should not be a lawyer, but get involved in the Business World.
